Die FachPack in Nürnberg – für mich jedes Jahr ein besonderes Erlebnis! Unter dem Leitthema „Transition in Packaging“ wurde der Wandel in der Verpackungsbranche eindrucksvoll in elf Messehallen und einem umfangreichen Rahmenprogramm abgebildet.
Kreislaufwirtschaft und nachhaltige Verpackungslösungen
Ein großes Thema auf der Messe war die Kreislaufwirtschaft sowie die Suche nach alternativen, nachhaltigen Verpackungslösungen und neuen Faserrohstoffen. Es war inspirierend zu sehen, wie intensiv die Branche an umweltfreundlichen Innovationen arbeitet. Besonders beeindruckt haben mich die kompostierbaren Folienbeutel – ein echter Gamechanger! Die FachPack hat den Zeitgeist perfekt getroffen und verdeutlicht, dass alle Akteure – Packmittelproduzenten, Maschinenhersteller und Serviceanbieter – gemeinsam an einer nachhaltigeren Zukunft arbeiten.
Internationale Ausrichtung und menschliche Aspekte
Mich hat auch die internationale Ausrichtung der Messe begeistert. Die drei Foren – Packbox, Innovationsbox und Solpack – waren voll mit spannenden Vorträgen, die alternative Verpackungslösungen und neue Faserstoffe thematisierten. Hier wurde klar: Der Wandel in der Verpackungsindustrie betrifft nicht nur die Technik, sondern auch die Menschen. Mein Kollege Thomas Schmitt hat in seinem Vortrag „Transition in People“ betont, dass der Wandel neue Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten erfordert. Denn ohne ausgebildete Fachkräfte bleibt auch der nachhaltigste Werkstoff nur eine gute Idee.
Herausforderungen der Branche
Trotz der positiven Atmosphäre auf der Messe dürfen wir die Herausforderungen nicht vergessen: Steigende Nachhaltigkeitsanforderungen, regulatorische Veränderungen und schwierige wirtschaftliche Rahmenbedingungen wie der Fachkräftemangel und die verhaltene Konsumbereitschaft beschäftigen die Branche. Aber genau deshalb ist eine solche Messe von unschätzbarem Wert.
Bedeutung der FachPack als Netzwerkplattform
Die zahlreichen Gespräche, die ich mit Entscheidern, Innovatoren und Vordenkern führen konnte, haben für mich einmal mehr die Bedeutung der FachPack als zentrale Netzwerkplattform unterstrichen. Hier entstehen nicht nur neue Ideen, sondern auch Partnerschaften für die Zukunft.

The FachPack in Nuremberg – a special experience for me every year! Under the guiding theme „Transition in Packaging,“ the transformation in the packaging industry was impressively showcased across eleven exhibition halls and a comprehensive supporting program.
Circular Economy and Sustainable Packaging Solutions
A major topic at the fair was the circular economy, as well as the search for alternative, sustainable packaging solutions and new fiber raw materials. It was inspiring to see how intensively the industry is working on environmentally friendly innovations. I was especially impressed by the compostable film pouches – a real game changer! FachPack perfectly captured the spirit of the times, highlighting how all players – packaging producers, machine manufacturers, and service providers – are working together for a more sustainable future.
International Focus and Human Aspects
I was also excited about the international focus of the fair. The three forums – Packbox, Innovationsbox, and Solpack – were filled with fascinating lectures addressing alternative packaging solutions and new fiber materials. It became clear that the transformation in the packaging industry involves not only technology but also people. My colleague Thomas Schmitt emphasized in his talk „Transition in People“ that the change requires new skills and competencies. Because without trained professionals, even the most sustainable material remains just a good idea.
Industry Challenges
Despite the positive atmosphere at the fair, we must not forget the challenges: increasing sustainability requirements, regulatory changes, and difficult economic conditions such as the shortage of skilled workers and restrained consumer willingness. But this is exactly why such a fair is invaluable.
The Importance of FachPack as a Networking Platform
The numerous conversations I had with decision-makers, innovators, and thought leaders have once again highlighted the importance of FachPack as a central networking platform. It’s here that not only new ideas are born, but also partnerships for the future.
